I spent Christmas in Laguna, a province that's a few hours south of Manila, because Mark, my Canadian friend from the summer 2003 session at CanIL invited Bob and I to accompany him to visit his "text friend" Chrisma there. (The policy of SIL Philippines to not allow any of it's members to date w/o a chaperone).
