Translators' Meeting

I went to half of one day of the two-day meeting at an SIL center in Manila for Northern Philippine Mother Tongue Translators and TAP (other tongue translators from Manila and the lowlands in the Philippines) members. Most of the NPMTTA members were there, but only a few TAP people. Some of the SIL missionaries taught. We learned how to plan how to make an event, such as a translation workshop, and discussed some other things. I also checked out some books from the SIL library:-)

Acts 17:26-27 (English Standard Version)

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for, “ ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “ ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
This is the church we've been attending. Some other students went at the same time as us this Sunday, as you can see. It's all in English. I love the preaching. It always challenges me to grow in my spiritual life. I think the pastor is dedicated to speaking truth (in love, not to condemm) rather than trying not to ruffle feathers.
