This is the name tag they gave to me. I was a "white Kalanguya."
White Beans
This is a Balute tree (I don't know if that's the right spelling). It is the tree that was believed to contain spirits.

This is the house I stayed in with many other girls. They gave me a pad to sleep on. I think it was the only one.

This is me with some of the people who live there.
I think this was the Kalanguya group picture. There were 45 Kalanguya, but they added me as the 46th "white Kalanguya."

A traditional musical instrument.
A couple of the older people there performed a traditional dance.
I was asked to share something. Bob interpreted for me, though many of the people do know English.
Filipino's tend to be good singers, especially Kalanguya. This is Bob singing with some of the students from CFM.
There were a lot of people there. Not everyone sat inside of the church.
This is part of a short play that some of the participants performed on the last night of the conference.
The last night of the inter tribal single's conference went until about midnight. They gave us a snack after that since we left that night. It again took us about 4 hours to ride down the mountain to the town on the logging truck, and another 4 or 5 hours to get back to Bambang.
After getting off the logging truck about 5am, we waited for a ride like a bunch of refugees beside the road. Most of them road back in a dump truck later that morning.
Some of us went back part of the way on a jeepney about 6am. I was so tired that I also fell asleep on the jeepney.
Some of the international students, and a few others who go to AGS got together for dinner on Monday. They also played some games. The first was the game that required us to say the name of a vegetable with our lips pulled over our teeth, and then say the name of someone else's vegetable in the same manner, and no one could laugh. The person who's vegetable was named then did the same thing.
This game involved asking someone, "Do you love me?" The person asked was required to reply, "You know I love you, but I just can't smile," without smiling. If the person smiled, that person would have to be "it."
