A Great Book

The book I'm reading in this picture is And The Word Came With Power by Joanne Shetler (click on the post title above for a link). I read this book when I was an undergraduate cause it was in my school library, but I didn't know that one of the people mentioned in it would later be one of my classmates.

It's about how Joanne went to a N. Philippine tribe as a Bible translator, and God's Word came with power. It came with power because the people were in bondage to many evil spirits. Through God's word, they were able to be freed from these spirits and the constant sacrifices they required.
